BRAD WYNNE
CEO
Brad Wynne is an agricultural entrepreneur and regulated-cannabis operator with hands-on experience in organic cultivation, hemp processing, compliance, and cannabis policy. He founded Veg Out Gardens, a USDA-certified organic grower producing more than 120 vegetable and herb varieties, and Veg Out Pharm, the first Virginia business to hold USDA organic certifications for both hemp cultivation and processing. Brad also serves on the Executive Board of the Virginia Cannabis Association and previously served on Virginia Beach’s Cannabis Advisory Task Force. He holds a B.A. from Princeton University and an M.A. from the University of Virginia.
EMMETT VANDEGRIFT
Local Liaison & Facilities Manager
Emmett Vandegrift is Pigment’s Social Equity founder and a South Jersey native with deep roots in the local community. He has played an integral role in Pigment’s development, including licensing, municipal coordination, site development, facilities planning, and operational readiness. Emmett’s knowledge of the region and longstanding community relationships have helped Pigment navigate the local approval process and establish its operations in Port Norris. Pigment’s original workforce plan also identifies Emmett as central to its commitment to creating employment and economic opportunities within the surrounding community.
ROBERT WUNDER
Community Outreach & Strategic Partnerships
Robert Wunder is a Pigment co-founder focused on community outreach, workforce development, and strategic partnerships. He has been involved in New Jersey’s regulated cannabis industry and licensing process since its earlier stages and helped shape Pigment’s commitment to building meaningful connections between the company and its host community. At Pigment, Rob works with community organizations, workforce and reentry partners, local businesses, and other stakeholders to develop employment pathways, strengthen community relationships, and advance the company’s social impact initiatives. Pigment’s workforce plan specifically identifies Rob and Emmett as the co-founders behind its effort to build a bridge to the host community and surrounding economically disadvantaged areas.
DR. DOROTHYBELLE “DB” POLI
Head of Cultivation
Dr. DorothyBelle Poli is a plant biologist, Professor of Biology, and Senior Director of Cannabis and Integrative Health at Roanoke College. She holds a Ph.D. in Plant Biology from the University of Maryland and led the development of Virginia’s first bachelor’s degree program in Cannabis Studies. At Pigment, Dr. Poli brings academic plant science together with commercial cultivation strategy, guiding genetics, plant health, crop development, and biology-driven cultivation methods designed to support consistent, high-quality production.
WILLIAM LAYTON
Agricultural Innovation & Cultivation Methodology
William Layton brings more than a decade of experience in regenerative agriculture, controlled-environment cultivation, and the development of organic and compost-based growing systems. His work focuses on applying biological principles to commercial agriculture, including soil health, nutrient cycling, environmental control, and cultivation-system design. A named inventor on a U.S. patent application related to controlled-environment agriculture, William advises Pigment on cultivation methodology, agricultural innovation, and the development of efficient, scalable growing systems.
DEBORAH BREWER
Strategic Advisor, Compliance & Marketing
Deborah Brewer is a cannabis business strategist with experience spanning licensing, regulatory compliance, operational development, marketing, and business development. She co-founded Commonwealth Alternative Care, a vertically integrated Massachusetts cannabis company, and later founded cannabis advisory firm Stratacann. She is also the founder of LXstudios, a strategy, marketing, and communications firm established in 1999. At Pigment, Deborah works across compliance, operational readiness, strategic planning, partnerships, investor and corporate communications, and marketing as the company moves from development into operations.
